Cotton fabrics after being FR treated can effectively prevent flame from spreading while retaining the property and integrity of the original cotton texture. FR treated cotton fabrics marketed by U.protec all meet BG8965-98 China’s national standards for flame resistant clothing. The fabrics were also tested in UK and found to meet EN470 and Grade A requirements for flame protective fabrics of European Community, USA and UK. In structure there are woven and knit materials of various weights and colors. The lighter material can be used for making shirts and T-shirts. Heavier material can be used for making jackets, pants and coveralls etc.
